RUN RUN! ! This looks like a nation-wide markdown at Costco. Price tag says $19.97... Rings up for $14.97!!!! ITEM # 1447989

I've been waiting for IKEA LADDAs for 9 months and finally gave up. Saw this marked down behind an incorrect tag. IMO this is going to go fast.

Energizer Rechargeables Combo kit with USB charging port 6 AA 2000 mAh & 4 AAA 800mAh Costco $14.97

Costco original price $30
Sale price> $24.99
Markdown > $19.97
Markdown Clearance > $14.97
Lowest historical for older model> $9.97

The cheapest price this has been in its history is $9.97 but it's extremely rare to find that price or even harder to buy it at that price.

Pros:
1) Costco return policy
2) Decent brand (Energizer)
3) Says made in Japan (SD'ers stating it's an eneloop rebrand?)
4) Comes with case if you want it. I threw all 6 of mine away but some might like the
case.
5) Not counterfeit (unlike Amazon...can't trust the batteries from there).
6) Comes with a nice charger that charges each individual bay individually and USB port!

Looks like one of the better deals for rechargeable right now. I bought 6 packs because I desperately needed both AA & AAAs I expect this to go quickly

My store did not have anymore inventory of this. It's very much YMMV.

Thank you for the heads up though.

So these are not low discharge? Excuse me if I run in the opposite direction.

If these are made in Japan then they come from the same factory as Eneloop and other brands. The 2000mAh version is usually the low discharge version.

I don't have this exact set but I have Energizer AAs that I bought from the last BestBuy deal and they perform similar to Eneloop in my experience.

Can confirm they are made in Japan and perform well like eneloops.

Is this still considered a good deal if you don't need a charger?

I always considered $5 per 4 batteries as my gauge but I wonder if that is unrealistic on a regular basis.

Were they charged when you bought them? The only other way you would be able to confirm that they are low discharge is to charge them and then wait.... for months. Have you done that?

Yes. 10 japanese batteries for $15? I'd say right now it's a great deal.

Yes they were charged when we bought them. No I just bought the new packs but I've owned a few at higher ($19.97) prices. I haven't tested these but they all say made in japan

With covid pricing probably unrealistic, but that's been my barometer for a while.

Batteries are great, but the charger from the pack really sucked, I need to get a decent usb powered smart charger like this one:

Curious, what is wrong with the charger in the pack? Too slow? It works really great for me.

When has there ever been $5 for 4 decent rechargeable batteries? I thought it was $1.5 to $2 for top rated batteries?

Yes, it's a slow charger and directly connects to AC power source with no extra cord length! Thus I prefer to find a charger that uses usb connection(DC) as the power source for better safety and with lcd to show the charging progress! Smilie
