you are 10 years late with that joke
Food deals are great, break up the monotony of paying $60-85 a meal for a family of 4

Arby's RB isn't normal roast beef, which is why it tastes different than what you would buy at a deli. When it comes from the slaughterhouse it is actually grey color as it is getting slapped into a plastic bag until it's prepped, then they later cook it at the store in the bag. It's mostly beef though except for the additives and preservatives and the rats that occasionally fall into the meat vat before it's bagged.
Whew, I was afraid cows were starting to grow claws. Thanks.

Wouldn't surprise me if some of the genetically modified cows do.

It's not grey when we would get it. It was red, like beef. I've cooked thousands of them in my years there. Idk where you got this info, but it's wrong.

The reason why it is different is because it's processed roast beef. It's mushy when you cook it because it has been processed into the "loafs" in which it's cooked. The roast beef you get at the deli isn't processed like that. That's why all the loafs of meat are the same shape.

Your statement is incorrect. It's well known to be grayish in color.

From Snopes [snopes.com]:
"Granted, what's inside those airtight bags may not resemble actual roast beef in color or texture (the meat is kind of grayish and rather soft and squishy, enough so that one could easily poke a finger through it), but it's still not a liquid, gel or paste."

Well known? Well, I know, because I've cooked thousands of them. In fact, it's still supposed to be somewhat red when you take it out of the oven. This prevents it from drying out when it sits in the warmer waiting to be used.

So Snopes lied about the color?

It says "kind of grayish" not "gray." I would describe it as red with a grayish hint. So no, I wouldn't call it a lie by them, but rather a different interpretation from what they were told (since they're reporting what was told to them, not something based on their own observations). I would call it reader error on your part.

Waited in drive thru line for just under 30 minutes only to be told they ran out of roast beef. I mentioned they should maybe put a sign out and the drone at the window said they don't have one and didn't have time to make one. :-/

It's grayish, soft, squishy, and you can poke your finger through it. I'm not misinterpreting anything. Maybe go to an Arby's and investigate if you're still not understanding what the research has shown.

I've literally said 3x now that I've cooked thousands of them. I've had 8 years of "investigation." It's as if you don't know how to read.

I see. So they fired you after 8 years. Maybe lack of knowledge of the product caused your downfall?

I noticed my receipt said regular roast beef sandwiches 5 for $10 then had a $5 discount below that. I wasn't even aware of the 5 for $10 promo which is quite reasonable! I usually get the 2 beef n cheddar for $6 but next time I might just get the 5 for 10 and add my own cheese lol

Sorry for the late reply, I was out of town. I vacuum sealed them right when I got home, then put them in the freezer. But I've never done that before, just following what someone else said earlier in the thread. I have no idea whether it will work out.
