Days Gone was probably the biggest surprise game for me of the PS4 "era". The trailers and even the description/walkthroughs of the game by the game studio did not give me any interest at all. I was bored in 2020 and feeling apocalyptic, and it was on really cheap sale, so I bought it on a whim. Turned out to be one of my probably five favorite PS4 games. Really engaging story and characters to me, and the Horde mechanic is super fun and strategic to deal with. I'm glad I gave it a shot, and really glad I didn't miss out.

But yeah it's already free if you have a PS5.

FYI Days Gone is already in the PS+ collection. I know millions still don't have a pS5, seems like a pS4 only game at least in my eyes.

That's because the new sales/free items aren't usually added until 10am Pacific/1pm Eastern time at the earliest. So give it at least another hour before you try, but just be patient, you have an entire month to get it.

With the free DL games, can you active a week or trial of PS+, do the downloads, let the PS+ expire and still own the game thereafter? Same Q with XBL if anyone knows. TY

This is where days gone belongs. Wasted money on that thing. Boring gameplay and terrible AI. One day my save games all restart to the beginning of the game. Never played again
