VA panels have their own benefits. If you're waiting for a 3440x1440 144Hz IPS curved panel at this price, you're gonna be waiting a long ass time.

I'm curious about this. I have a Dell U3415W (I presume is IPS?), but I wish had more flexible PIP options (the newer Dell versions have some improvements). And I'd consider a newer monitor (like this VA panel) if it performed similarly to the Dell (I don't care about color rendition, but I do care about viewing angle).

So, anyone with actual experience using a big curved screen VA panel care to comment? I absolutely love working on my Dell (I've been using it everyday for a couple of years now - it was expensive, but well worth it).

I wish there were Slickdealer reviews on this guy Smilie I keep trying to convince myself to buy an ultrawide but i'm not sure how i feel about it replacing 2 of my 3 monitors.Heck it might replace all of them but knowing me i'll figure out a way to make the other 2 fit lol I'll be surrounded by monitors. I'm looking for a monitor to replace my 27" 1080p ROG Strix which is outdated now that I have an AMD 6800 and EVGA 3080 on order (Replacing the AMD 6800 with the 3080). So i sit here and look at slickdeals every day for the super deal. This ain't too super of I deal I feel but Monoprice is down the street from me so I can do local pickup/shipping and easily return it if there's any issues. Anyone have any comments about the quality of this monitor and experience using it? My use will be mainly work but a few hours of gaming every other day.

I don't have extensive experience but this monitor is the brightest I've seen in this price range. My buddy owns both this and the AOC version that sells on amazon this monitor is significantly smoother and brighter. The stand is also height adjustable

I have a very similar, 1 step down from the MP Dark Matter line, 35" UWQHD curved 100hz, OC to 120hz, I love it. I bought open box, zero dead pixels and it's like new. MP is awesome and this is a great deal.

I'd go for it if I was shopping for a new UWQHD 1440p monitor.

I have this monitor and I also have the Alienware aw3418dw. While the Alienware is better, it was almost twice as expensive when I bought it. For the price, this monitor is excellent and I highly recommend it. Great contrast due to VA panel, the extra curve is really nice, and ghosting has been pretty minimal (to me).

I literally just returned my dark matter to Monoprice, perhaps this is my old one...

If this is my old one, my vote is to pass. I built a powerful gaming PC targeting 144hz 1440p ultrawide and the blur with FPS games was unbearable
