Yeah that's not going to work. Online gift card purchases for restaurants usually run through a website vendor that processes the payment. It'll probably not even categorize as dining. Go buy the gift card in-store and it'll work.

most amex offers specifically exclude gift card purchases but they seem to work regardless; don't see why this one would be any different as long as you buy those gcs at the establishment.

Must disagree: Here is exactly language from my added offer on amex.com

"Get a $5 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $15 or more in-restaurant at Jersey Mike's Subs, online at jerseymikes.com or through the Jersey Mike's US mobile app by 6/15/2021. Limit of 2 statement credits (total of $10). See terms for exclusions."

I bought a gift card from their website about an hour ago. I normally get an immediate email from Amex saying that I've used an offer. I haven't received one yet. It's possible I'll still get the statement credit/email, but this is not the normal response time in my expereience.

I tried the Lowes gift card discount on Samsung Pay but when I add a $75 (or higher amount) gift card to my cart, it says "Sorry, this promotion does not apply" even though it clearly shows the promotion on the gift card page. The discount still works on the Chiptole card. Seems like the Lowes discount is "out of stock".

Also looks like the mygiftcard plus cashback rates are back to normal for the Lowes (2%) and Chipotle (1%) gift cards. O'Charley's and 1-800-Flowers are still 20%

Isn't there already an ongoing offer from Amex for the rest of the year : $5 credit each month with any spending at a restaurant?! I can get $5 by spending $10 at Jersey Mike's as is. Is this "in addition" after you use up that other offer?

Mine is a $15 credit on $15 spend at a restaurant all year. Wonder if $20 spend at JM results in $20 back
