Not bad for the price. I still lean for a Syma x5c for a toy drone like this because after a few crashed you can just buy a new one. This drone is sitting right at the price point where you can go cheaper and lose some features like the auto landing and maybe better camera for maybe half the price. Or you can spend a bit more and get a brushless motor drone like a bugs 3 that's faster then this drone and better motors. No camera though and no auto landing or fancy app. It will run circles around this drone though. I got a bugs 3 for around $60 not long on Amazon.
Just checked the bugs 3 is on a lighting deal for same price.

Any sample video? The price seems like no brainer but than again I heard these things got super cheap recently so maybe $50 is reasonable price.. What else can we get for a bit more like $100? Are there ones that remember where to return if battery is running out like you make a landing spot to return if it goes too far? I heard some of these just go rogue once they exit reception zone, is this one of those? How about follow mode, can you mark something and make them follow?

This one says "Charging Time: about 120 mins" how long flight/record time do you get with full charge? *found it, 15 minutes of flying time.. is this normal?

Found some footage on youtube, it's like VGA camera, not 2.7K.. the resolution of the video maybe 2.7k but the sensor is definitely like wide-VGA or something, it's pretty low res, soft and wobbly/shaky. I guess it's good if you want to check out your roof without going on the roof or if you just want to see something over a wall or traffic or just random curiousness but it's definitely not an action cam or something you can use to produce high quality video. It's like a toy, that could be a test run to see if you really need $600+ drone.

Received today...well, received an empty box. Only the remote was intacted. First time that ever happened ordering from Amazon. Chose a refund over waiting 3 weeks for a replacement.

Amazon is screwing up, when I go to my orders page and cllick on this drone, some other more expensive sanrock drone pops up. I cannot find the ad for the drone we purchased. Anyone else have this issue? It was working fine earlier today.

There is a good review in that ad that had some helpful tips on what to turn on in what order that the manual goofed up or is not clear on.

edit: This drone has disappeared from Amazon. Click on the OP link, wrong more expensive drone with tons more features. Do a search for Sanrock X103W, nada. WTF is going on?

Same here. Appears as though they oversold. I was able to find the original, after fiddling with it. Assumed they would simply send the better version. At least that is what I used to expect from AMZ. I see above that someone received an empty box, though.

Received mine and rear left propeller doesn't function. They included cards begging not to leave negative Amazon reviews and email them directly. No response yet even tho they promise 12 hr turnaround.

mine the same thing. worked for a little... then poof rear propeller stopped working. Tried to replace the blade and can not get that tiny screw back in...

just returned.

Looks like there is 20% coupon and an additional promo code (O8SWKX4Y) for 40% off for the B5W model with the 4K camera in the same link as the OP posted. This brings the price to about $120 + taxes from $299. Not sure if this is a good deal for any other comparable drone in this price range. Looking at some of the amazon review, the B5W seems more stable and have better picture/video quality. Would appreciate if any expert can chime in.

I see the correct one in My Orders but the link in My Orders leads to the BW5.

Can't say I'm surprised but it was a chance I took with a $50 drone.

It's a common tactic to sell other less expensive items on Amazon, include a card to beg people to leave a good review in exchange for free items, and then change the original item to a more expensive one. They likely did this to boost their ratings on the more expensive drone. The Amazon rating system is rigged. I got banned from leaving reviews, the last review I left was simply a review of light rated at X Watts, I posted the actual amount of Watts it drew using my power meter to show they are lying, and was likely flagged and banned by the seller. Amazon hasn't responded to any of my customer service requests to why I was banned.

The drone is pretty crappy, but it was a gamble at $50.

Thanks for pointing that out. I went for it. $120 seems very reasonable and the youtube reviews looked good enough.
