Are you referring to an EPP price? The regular listing is over $1500.

My EPP (perksatwork) pricing was 1418 for this machine. Picked one up for a business need.

Finally a 9th gen X1 Carbon deal. This genhas a 16:10 screen, ultra fast ram, and better heat management. This is actually a good deal for those who want a premium business laptop.

Great laptop if you need Windows, but you can buy an M1 Macbook Pro for this price. Blows it out of the water in every single category.

I think there's a lot of features that add value to a laptop over pure processing power. Even the i5-1135g7 will be snappy enough for most users. Ports and most importantly - Thunderbolt 4 - makes it so that you can add a lot of external GPU power with a single cable. Compatibility with existing software is an important feature for a lot of professionals. 16gb of actual ram and replaceable ssd will increase the longevity of this machine as well. The 8gb on the MacBook m1s are using ssd as swap, which creates a lot more wear on the SSD, which can't be replaced.

Asus has no support if hardware fails. It will take 1-2 months for the round trip repair.
