For nvidia owners, the key is buying a monitor on their official list. It includes Gsync panels and Certified Gsync compatible monitors. If it's on the list, it is guaranteed to be flicker free w/ gsync.

This monitor is on the list. But the dell curved 32" was not. I have this monitor with a RTX 3080 and I have had zero issues.

I have been doing a ton of Research into 1440p 144hz (min) 27in gaming monitors (and 32) the best two I have determined are this and the LG GL850-B.
This Dell has the better brightness(400 over 350), DisplayHDR 400 (over HDR 10), sRGB 144% over 135%, 165 over 144hz on DP.

Is this monitor worth it if I do not plan to take advantage of the 165hz refresh rate? I'm not a gamer and only want a 27'' 1440p monitor for media consumption and general office work. Occasional video/photo editing as well.
There are much cheaper options at 60Hz

Not a great deal at all. My wife got this one in January for $350 range and it has been on and off in the mid 300 range for a while...

**ah correction she got the curved model**
Completely diff model then. This one has the LG Nano IPS panel and looks great. I would say this is a great price and don't forget to stack Amex and $ back dot come.

Been in the market for 27" 2k monitor and this one had all I was looking for. It has native 165hz which means you don't have to overclock it to get 165hz. Supports DisplayPort 1.4, LG Nano IPS panel, AMD Free Synch Premium Pro and great material quality. It also comes with 3 year warranty. Bought it and received it. I was able to run it at 165hz with the included dp cable. No problems so far! Can totally recommend it.

I have the gsync version so take this for what it's worth. I love the monitor but it's not without its quirks(maybe just mine?). I haven't been able to get it to the 165mhz option. I updated it's drivers and everything. Used DisplayPort.
I randomly get a line in the middle if my screen about 5 px folded over, as if it's folded paper, the edge of the screen is then not colored, the missing 5px. I don't always notice it. I only have to turn it off and on again and it fixes it.
The USB hub on it is really nice. I run most of my stuff through it. The cable management is nice too. There is a hole through the stand. Stand goes really high and is super easy to move the monitor, but not loose enough the monitor falls down.
Love it, I would recommend it. Just wish mine was more perfect.
U have to manually change it in win10. It defaults at 60hz

Some monitors not on the "official " list work as well.

It doesn't state it in the specs. I had to dig through the manual. But it does have VESA mounting screws also. At first I didn't think it did, but it's 100 x 100.

The deal I posted is better IMO if you prefer curved panels. More future proof, 240hz

Damn I've been looking for a 27" 2k monitor. This might be it. Someone tell me why I shouldn't get it.
This site is archaic and you can't easily scroll my post history, but I was in the same boat [ 27" flat, IPS, 2k, 144Hz+, 1ms] and just bit on that LG deal with the xbox controller because it was a no brainer. The only thing I could say about contraindications of this one is that it's a Freesync monitor not G-Sync if you're relying on NVidia GPU. The G-Sync makes all the difference and my 27in g5 odyssey is just some curves I have to pass on.

I am debating about this monitor. I got the amex $100 off $500, but not sure it's the best deal.

I think the Gigabyte M27Q is cheaper and just as good for ~$330.

That's not accurate. It has to be a 10XX series; 20XX series or 30XX series video card. I have an older video card and I can tell you it does not work that way. (Even with updated drivers).
