Wow, just saw these torque sticks for the first time on YouTube a few days ago. Would be cool for lugnuts at least and a deal at $15. Don't accidentally reverse with them!

Why's that? I haven't done due deligence on this tool yet. What about using them with the big m18 1/2" impact? I hope I get some use out of them but the few bolts I have sheared weren't accessible with extensions.

I'm guessing he's thinking that you'd be applying 140ft/lb to your vehicle by using the highest rated one? In any case if you're torqueing in the range to snap a wheel hub stud, you're doing it wrong.....

Does anyone know if these are actually safe to use with an electrical impact instead of an air one? I have the m12 stubby. Heard that since electric has more torque, its pointless to use with torque stick.

Because they only work for tightening. If you run them in reverse/loosen with them, they're ruined.

Just use level 1 or 2 with the stubby

Edit: after some YouTube research I've found that it doesn't matter how strong the impact is, it's how fast it impacts. A faster impact does not allow the spring to return to rest and ends up piling the energy into the fastener. The Milwaukee mid torque seems to be too fast for at least the smaller sticks. The bigger the stick(higher ft lbs)the higher frequency of impacts would be tolerated for accurate use.
