I'd recommend seeing this in person before pulling the trigger. The 1000 series is about as light-duty as a toolbox comes. The very thin 20-24 gauge stamped steel makes for a pretty flimsy box. The drawers will flex quite a bit with any moderate weight and won't open/close well. Lots of discussions about this point specifically.

Make sure that you unbox before bringing this home. The thin steel will really deform if there is any damage that occured during shipping even if there isn't obvious damage to the box. Also, do not drop this box.

It's not a bad box, just very light-duty.

Dude waterloo stuff is extremely expensive. That makes absolutely no sense. You got extremely discounted stuff on clearance of a way higher end brand and had to piece it together, so that is what a combo set from a way cheaper line that is basically half off should be!? No, just no.

I've owned this for about three years. It is holding up great so far. I paid about the same price back then and, in my opinion, this is a good price.

You really want to start with the 2000 series for quality on these if you don't plan on junking it when it doesn't hold up

My family uses this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-.../862524683

If your local Walmart doesn't have it, then this Craftsman one is also good. I prefer this Hyper Tough one because of the riser and pegboard on the side.

I bought one of these last time they had the sale. It's a decent chest. Not heavy duty but good value for the price

Excellent- good price as long as your expectations are set appropriately. Needed an extra unit fer meh mudroom. Wouldn't use this for my main tool setup, but it will do for handy overflow storage/use/lighter duty and free up my kitchen junk drawer(s). Obviously the more expensive units/models/brands offer more and a quick SD search shows that. This deal reoccurs otherwise you're likely going to have to hit a YMMV on a true SD.

This is what it should have cost to begin with. I have a Husky top and Waterloo bottom that ran me $100 combined (both clearance) and they're far nicer than this piece.

Dammit I scored the Craftsman black 2000 series 26-in rolling car from Lowe's a couple days ago.

This would match perfectly.

But I already have a blue one

Must resist

I've had one of these for 14 years and it stills works perfect. It's an entry level box and that's ok, there are people who need that. Just set your expectations that it's an entry level item, perfectly fine for a newbie or casual diyer.
