I had been waiting for the AAs to come back into stock for a while. It finally came in, so I ordered 4 packs. I saw this message before picking them up, so I went into the store, Frisco TX, but they were still $6.99 here.
Still $6.99 in Kansas City too. Their website does now say "Last chance to buy" for Ladda AAs and AAAs. It's still weird the Philly store has them on sale while most others do not.
From what I was told, they will redo this line, but likely will not be same manufacturer and thus not cheaper eneloops
They could stick with the same factory and go from the Eneloop Pros to the regular Eneloops too while keeping the same $7 price. I admit that's just speculation, but I suspect no one working in a retail Ikea store really knows either.

Yeah I talked to someone in corporate and from what they knew, they would be not from the same factory.

Did they also tell you every store with stock would have them on sale too? I have a receipt from this past Saturday that clearly shows otherwise -- others have said the same (at different stores).

Yes. These are being discontinued. This is the price at all locations that have them in stock. Sad day

WRONG! At least two people have posted in this very thread that their local Ikea stores have not discounted their stock.
