Great for shop work, not for Covid.

These are great for workshop work since they don't fog up safety googles and are super comfortable. For Covid, meh. They will protect the wearer from others but won't protect others from you. Some places prohibit due to valves (Disney, etc)

The selfish mask. Most places where masks are mandatory won't allow this

Does anyone know if the Cool Flow Valve on these masks filters the exhalation at can N95 level?

Or, is it just like exhaling through a hole in the mask?

Edit: I'm sorry, I didn't read the first two comments. Frown

Yeah I've been looking for these for doing drywall and sanding around the house. $1.20/ea sounds like a good deal.

The straps suck, but always have. Who knows when the price will ever return to normal?! These were ok for working if you didn't have a half respirator. Does not protect others from your bad breath! Peace

The valve deflects the exhaled air straight downwards and the virus, even if the wearer has it, drops out of the air quickly because they are too heavy to ride on light air currents. Yes, it's less protective to the others than non-valve N95 mask, but it still protects others better than bandanas and many non-ASTM rated surgical masks.

Isn't this a better-than-normal price? A few years ago I'm pretty sure a 10pk of these was like $16 on Amazon.

Per CCC, looks like the average price from 2017-2020 was $14-$15 for a 10 pack. So buying in bulk does help the price. If you wear this in public, you will be shamed. So, then what's the point? Peace

Just wear a cloth mask or surgical style mask over it if you ware worried about what others think.

These are great for landscaping work like mowing lawn and leaf blowing. If you don't want dust in your lungs or have bad allergies.

You can put a surgical mask over it. This would be good for plane rides where wearing an N95 without a valve can be difficult for that length of time.
