Expercom.com had this for $799 no tax and free shipping. The price has been fluctuating. May be worth the wait if you don't need it right away.. save money on tax. Note: It may be worth it to see if they would pricematch.

They will if you are within your return period. I did this last year with an iPad mini. Just brought in my receipt and they did did an adjustment.

But if they don't just do a return and rebuy.

Just an FYI for any Military/Vets out there, you can get it through apple for these prices anytime using ID.me. If you aren't in an area blessed by Microcenter like I am in Vegas, it's the way to go if you are in the market for one. I just picked up the base model last weekend and paired it with an LG ultra fine 4k USB-C monitor I found on offer up for a good deal.

Do they only sell new items?

I think they have a section on their site called "Pre-owned". Shipping is taking a little while since the 16GB is not the average 8GB. They report the shipment will be dropped directly from Apple.

8GB will drop to 599 like it did a couple months ago but I doubt the 16GB will anytime soon.
