For those of you who needs Michelin and BFGoodrich tires right now (and not their current promotion of Bridgestone). Been needing to change out my Tesla Model 3 tires and was going to wait until 4/14 but here we are.

1) Get tires with a tread warranty 2) use a place that includes free tire rotations, etc. If the dealer does it for me that's $20 a visit... 3) do rotate your tires to keep them lasting longer 4) ask questions on road hazard warranties there all different e.g. Toyota dealer only gave 1yr and doesn't include cuts/rips only nails, one of the local tire places charged me to add road hazard if they had to replace my tire (to add warranty on the new one which is a bit ridiculous), costco's is 5yrs long, prorated, and included with the purchase. BLUF I like Costco all around for tires, but they dont do alignments. 🤷

if tires don't have a tread warranty they'll probably only last like 30k miles... and the prorated warranty if you used have your tire (tread) and the tire gets messed up beyond patching then you owe half the cost to get a new one. If you have a problem a week after their put on ( full tread) should be free.

Make sure your tires are in great if not at least "Good" condition; no bald spots no "barely passing" issues or any other inspection type issues.

Aside from this always rotate them around 7,000 miles (5,000 for suv & minivan type cars). Rotate them at least about once a year and the advantage of doing this at Costco is that its no pressure to upsell and they also Balance for the life (which is about 5 years).

At the least during seasonal changes winter into spring etc make sure you pressure check and put about 4PSI more than the rated PSI (in most cases) due to heat expansion. If you hit major bumps etc then you should get the air checked more often (city shitty driving etc).

I figured to get 1 "extra" year out of my tires and brother hydroplaned on the highway and so lesson learned to not do this with tires as its just not worth it.

Perfect timing! The Bridgestone Ecopia tires on my eGolf I bought in July 2019 (thanks to this thread), with less than 13,000 miles on them, are already down to 3/32" in the front, and 6/32" in the rear. I can't believe they need replacing already...

Are these brands better than the current Bridgestone deal?

Ugh, not happy with the fees on the tires I am seeing:
Install (which went up last year) is now $79.96
Tire disposal Fee = $4
TPMS Fee?? = $12
