The fan noise is a work in progress. I'll get it there one way or another, I'm running a 16 hour print on it now or I would be fiddling with it. Decided to put up with the noise just to get that print done and see how it looks.

The instructions aren't great. There have been minor design changes to production units not covered in the printed instructions. I honestly didn't look at the SD card to see if they were updated there. They don't really cover the importance of loose assembly and final tightening to square it properly. I put a drop of PTFE oil in the bearings and work it in and lubed the lead screw lightly. Little things like making sure the eccentric rollers are properly adjusted can make a big difference in print quality.

If you think logically about it it isn't hard to assemble with the given printed instructions. Just remember it's not a race and double check the already assembled sections.

I would recommend that anyone get an ender 3 over this. I am not saying that as a fan boy of a certain brand, and I am also not saying that this printer is bad (it's not), it's just that this printer does not really offer anything more than the ender 3 and yet costs more.

Bigtreetech makes great 3d printer controller boards for their price (albeit with hit or miss quality) with many of them being direct drop in replacements, and probably their biggest selling board was/is an Ender 3 replacement board, the SKR mini E3. I own a few mini e3's, and they work great. It's just that the product is no longer as relevant as it use to be. Creality updated their boards across the CR-10 and Ender 3 models, and even the base model Ender 3 now comes with a 32-bit board from the factory. Although the SKR mini E3 still has a few more headers to connect to, the biggest issue was always the original Ender 3 having an 8 bit board and it's extremely limited Melzi board memory which hampered adding new features when new firmware updates arrive, and that is just no longer the case with the new Ender 3 boards, making the SKR mini E3 less relevant.

Anyways, Bigtreetech came out with the Bique to offer what is essentially an Ender 3 but already running their SKR mini E3 inside, and now as I stated before, with even the base model Ender 3 coming with a 32 bit board, this printer no longer really offers any value over even the base Ender 3, since any of the small additional features can be printed out or even purchased and added to an Ender 3 for less money. For example the steel spring bed, can be purchased and added to the Ender 3, but I think that you will find that a glass bed is better anyway

And as far as the fan noise goes, you are most likely also going to have that on an Ender 3 as well, or any other Chinese printer at this price point.

You would find it to be almost exactly the same. If you want different you need a different design, like a CoreXY etc.

I wound up buying a used Longer LK1 off eBay for $204 directly from Longer. It appeared to be a damaged box return from Amazon, but the contents were brand new. Basically the same basic printer as a Creality CR-10 size wise.

so far it's interesting. I'm still figuring out the best temperatures for getting it to print. I had to remove the sticker on the top of the stock glass bed, running a temperature tower test print on it with the print bed running at 60C caused the skirt to stick so hard that I ruined the surface on the sticker. I ordered a creality CR-10 glass bed to use as I love how the one I put on my Ender 3 Pro works. super easy to clean up. In the interim I'm using hair spray to help with adhesion on the stock glass bed.

Other than the glass bed, what have you had to change? How's it compare to the Ender 3?
