Saw the Nest Thermostate E for $49.46 at a local Staples. Don't know if the pricing is nationwide. YMMV.

Sku 24295580 / Model 4978963

Brickseek shows none near me even though I saw it at my local Staples.

This was never sold in most stores. A few "premium" (high sales) stores in big metro areas carried it. At most you'll see a sign "order online", but of course you won't get the store price.

WRONG, I purchased 2 of these within the last 6 months on clearance ~$70, different stores. They were in most stores for the 2019 holiday season. The product was kept in the lockup, and when the displays came down it is not visible. This is just the most recent clearance markdown. Don't let arrogant assholes discourage you from getting a deal. If you are in the store ask the CSR to check the lock-up.
