we had one of these at work - it does not work at all
Be warned, all reviews from the past month has been 1 star. (more like the last 5 reviews)
It's no-name thermometer with 33,000 reviews.

Do you really think you can trust that lol? Apply some common sense. I don't even trust some of the shills that have 1,000 reviews. 33k? Yeah right....

Few other things you really need to pay attention to from now on if you actually think these could be real reviews.

Right on the page....Product first sold on Amazon April 7, 2020;
So not only does it have 33k reviews, but amassed that many in under a year?

Secondly, it had 1,000 reviews in September, 2020. That means they want you to believe they amassed 32,000 reviews in 7 months? Lmao, you can't make this up.

I guess you can buy it for the sole fact it's only $4, but please, please don't buy it because of the reviews or because you expect it to work.

Honest question - can we not even trust a product selling on Amazon with almost 33k reviews and 4.4 ratings? What am I missing here in all these comments here? <i>.

Upon closer inspection, this same brand has multiple product listings, several of which have large number of reviews (1k / 5k / 30k) with 4+ ratings. Seems legit to me.

My experience based on other products I've bought off Amazon - These vendors that sell cheap China stuff offer a $5 -$15 "reward" for leaving a 5 star review. They even request you not to mention anything about this "reward" on Amazon else that review in ineligible for the reward. That is how these no-name products end up with high product ratings.

Bottom line - Amazon reviews are no longer trust-worthy.

No. 30% off coupon on product page, and in OP there is a coupon code that deducts another $10.

Thank you. I read the OP, but the incompetence remark made me go back and read more carefully. I deserve that reply.

Non contact thermometers are crap don't waste your money. The temp of your skin will vary greatly due to ambient conditions. The thermometer adds some number of degrees as a guess but any number of factors cannot be factored in (sun, wind, something recently covering the skin being tested - people in caps would have to be rechecked because the band made their skin warmer). I don't understand why people are still obsessed with these things.
Good to make sure babies and small children aren't running a fever. Regular thermometers can be tricky to use on them while throwing a tantrum.
