I have this lock and key is unique. It's this weird half cresent looking key thing.

Also, a thief can just kick the door in, or go in through a back window if they really want to.

Any lock can be bypassed. Just take a look at the lock picking lawyer.

Also, you can try and fill in the keyhole with something block it I guess.

Good to see another long-time member comment.

It's not for everybody. I have two of them because they each solved different problems/annoyances for me.

The fingerprint works great. The keypad is a backup/method but I haven't had to use it for myself as I use the fingerprint.

Contractors, cleaners, dog walkers, or other family can be given their own individual code with optional time limits - 2pm to 4pm.

The key, which will explode the other commenter's mind, is next backup/method.

I'm leaving a few more options... like opening via the app, etc.

It helps me so I bought it, and then bought another one after using it for a while.

I like the lock. Auto-lock feature is iffy in my experience even after running a new calibration. I just make sure to manually lock the door before I go instead of relying on that feature. Fingerprint scanner works fine.

I'm assuming the key is used if WiFi or battery backup is out. A keypad lock is for your convenience. A thief can get into whatever door they need to, the lock is just a deterrent.

I have this and a Schlage encode. Both are self installed as they use standard deadbolt holes. They have both been 100% reliable over the last 2 years. I prefer the Schlage encode because the app user interface is better

Schlage drains battery fast and is unreliable with Samsung smart things

Kwikset is the best.

I have it, honestly best bit of kit I've ever installed. Took about 25mins total and very simple instructions. You won't regret this
