these are great but have limited usage for everyday life for the majority of people. I was tempted to get this for my pool filter that has a nut on bolt connector that has to be tightened but unfortunately what I need is 5/16" and this is 9/16"

Wrenches are better for that anyway. These are for like HVAC screws

5/16 and 1/4 are the most common size for screws in the hvac world. For most 9/16 head screws you most likely won't be able to break them loose or torque them properly with a driver like this.

If you need more torque, you can put a wrench on the shaft.
