Probably because you're not laying them correctly. Use a base and some polymeric sand and you'll be fine. If you don't put them down correctly, it doesn't matter where you buy these pavers, they're going to slip, slide, and break. If you put them on a base and some polymeric sand in and around them, there's more friction between the bricks and the sand will hold them safely in place.

I get the joke but bricks have ALWAYS been on slickdeals, along with retaining wall blocks, and anything else outdoor related. Mostly during spring.

Very shitty pot ash composition. Maybe for a cheap rental or quick flip but stay away if you're looking for long term durability.

For those questioning the integrity of these, i find them suitable for most. I bought the gray holland bricks for a driveway extension and does very well. Even had 2 tires and a large full Load of a F350 super duty on it and everything was fine. Not one crack. If you're using this as a foundation bed, I really don't see a problem as long as you're prepping the rock/soil bed right.

Awesome, I've been waiting for this one. Does anyone know exactly what time this sale will start online, if I'm Pacific time? It seems they usually have this sale at the beginning of April every year, does anyone know if they usually sell out quit?

Unless its a small walkway save yourself a massive headache and get 16" or at least 12" pavers. They are so much easier to keep level and wont shift around as much.

One person has a picture of a fire pit on HD site. What would be the downside of using this for an in-ground firepit? Nothing gigantic - 3 ft in diameter...

Has anyone used these to go around their artificial turf?

These are definitely not the fire resistant type.

These bricks are not designed to be used as a fire place or fire pit where the temperatures get blazing hot. If the temperatures of the bricks fluctuate too rapidly from the fire then the bricks will crack. They make "fire bricks" that can withstand but are more expensive.

Some have and some have used them under and on top. They work well if you use a compass while installing.
