This will keep coming out, like animal crossing edition. Nintendo's trying to sell as many as their old hardware by making it special (NOT limited) edition before releasing the new Switch.
Anddd.... this is super effective on me. This is my 4th switches already. Can't resist good looking Nintendo collectible stuff. ;(

This was already available yesterday.. bought it around noon..

It's technically a pre-order though it doesn't say it on the page. It is not in stock until April 9 according to the cs rep I spoke to after placing my order...

Yesterday there were some card sites selling gamestop e-gift cards for more than 10% off. I saved $40 on my order by taking advantage of that as well..

FYI they're releasing a more expensive non-handheld pro switch which is not a replacement to the current switch.. contrary to what many people are implying. This switch will stay in production and likely remain the most popular variant due to it's ability to, ya know, switch.

You are right that this special edition will likely be like the animal crossing one where they keep pumping them out
