To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Deal was better under Sprint - iPhone 12 free w/trade of iPhone8 or higher... upgraded 3 lines yesterday!
Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

I tried doing this with a Samsung Note 4 yesterday and the T-Mobile rep wouldn't take it. She said it's not on the list of eligible phones. Is she mistaken?

Yes, she's mistaken. I ran into the same problem , just ask her to select 5G upgrades for all promos, device/model/carrier. That way, she will on enter the IMEI.

So I think my parents are making the jump from Sprint to T-Mobile and I don't think my father's LG V20 will work with T-Mobile so I was debating getting him on the A32 deal as he doesn't really care about his phone all that much. Any rumor as to if it will be this phone all year or will they jump to a different one later on? If I do go with this one, anyone know a good case for this thing? He's pretty rough on his phone. Really wasn't looking to spend $30 on the Otterbox. Any good alternatives?

Thank you very much. I didn't know. I almost just bought the phone. I mentioned the trade in promo with the rep and he said he doesn't know any promo going on right now. So I have to tell the rep that I want to do a trade in promo for them to proceed with your step #1 right?
Yes, tell them T-Mobile Trade in Promotion.

It is called "Direct Delivery" ,sometimes they don't have "Direct Delivery" inventory.

You have to wait home delivery of your new A32 phone.

Please help answering some questions regarding buying this phone at Costco.
1. I could do this deal by buying the phone at Costco and later trade in an old phone at T mobile store? I guess it links by putting it on the same phone number?
2. I was at Costco yesterday and the rep told me there was no $30 Costco card. Did the promo expire, he doesn't know what he was talking about, or something I should say to him?

Thank you so much.
I was at Costco today with my old iPhone 3 that I wanted to trade for A32. Unfortunately, their Direct Delivery was out of stock again.

However, I did trade a S9 for iPhone 12 (the Mother's Day promo). What happens is that they enter the IMEI for the S9 and answer the questions about quality (I had to convince them to do so even though I didn't have device with me). The new iPhone 12 will be shipped by them through Direct Delivery (so this is Wireless Advocates stock, not Costco's) and I only had to pay $74 for tax directly to them.

They printed out shipping label for me to ship my S9 back to T-Mobile/Assurant.

Also, they gave me form to claim my $30 Costco card from mypromochoice.com. The title of the form is "TMO Member Benefit $30 Costco Shop Card. Get a $30 Costco shop card with the purchase of any handset." But this is only through Direct Delivery, and not if you buy one of the phones that Costco has in stock (which are already discounted from MSRP)

Does Costco accept your trade in phones or do I still have to send it in myself assuming Costco has the A32 in stock?

I believe Assurant only checks the mail in phones on Saturday and Sunday. So if yours has been delivered and didn't get processed that weekend, wait till the next
On Saturday my trade in was still in transit. Today (Monday) received text that phone was received and soon after another text that phone got credit.

Thanks for your responses. I didn't know only "Direct Delivery" qualifies for the $30 promo. They had 3 available at the store for around $260 and I almost bought it right there. Is going thru "Direct Delivery" a better option? Do you check its inventory through membershipwireless.com?

Costco never accepts phones. The kiosk is just an authorized reseller. Only corporate owned T-Mobile stores can actually accept your phone and give you new one on the spot.

If you buy one in stock, basically you're taking advantage of whatever deal Costco is offering, and not a T-Mobile deal.

You can trade at a T-Mobile store (they'll migrate data from your own phone to new one) and if they accept it, you're guaranteed the trade-in value. If you order online or through third-party (like kiosk at Costco) then you wait for phone to get mailed to you, and have 30 days to send in your trade-in.

Also note that inventory online is not reliable. I called ahead and the wireless kiosk said they had A32 available for Direct Delivery. I went to the store, did all the paperwork, and at last step where it shows that they have like 5 available on their system, when they try to add it to my cart it says "none available" or something like that.

30 days. T-Mobile will text or email your deadline date for shipping the trade-in phone once they deliver the new phone.
Got a text today saying my trade in is not good. I thought it was because I sent in the old flip phone without IMEI#. Texted 611 and after a while she said it's because I didn't mail it in within 7 days. I told her I got a text say 30 days. After a while, she said she would manually apply the credit. Hopefully it's all good. Still took like an hour chat.
