Ryobi, Rigid. Maybe dewalt. Milwaukee is professional grade and $$$$
I was looking at some of the Milwaukee packages but unsure which one has the tools that would be good to start off with. Any suggestions?
....and not a one of them has it. Congrats to those who get it!
You may think about Ryobi 6 tools combo kit. This is a basic kit.

Drill, impact drive, circular saw and reciprocating saw , maybe, a work light too, are essential for home owners if you want to do some repair and maintenance. If you have budget , you may get the advance version of each tools. RYOBI has two versions for almost very cordless tools, basic and more powerful one. Its eco system is also very good. I use them for all my home repair.
Other brands sold in HD are professional tools for everyday job site use. They are decent tools but more expensive to start with and when you want to expend your tool collection. Ryobi is more than enough for a home owner. If you buy the advance version of each tool on sale, you get great tools with reasonable price.
