I'm pretty sure there is an optional base that can go on this if you don't have other options for securing it down. Search "offset Umbrella base".

It's fine. There are official weights you can purchase for as much as the umbrella, or you can just use cement pavers. I.bought this a month ago and it's working great.

How is it fine if you have to buy weights that double the price? Stacking pavers on it would look like garbage.

Every patio umbrella requires you to buy weights of some kind and all of these offset umbrellas all come minus the weights at the bottom and the are Universal and expensive. But the umbrella deal itself is better than most by far so please stop griefing the OP

Almost bought one on eBay. Ended up buying one on Walmart for $64.99. I had one of these and left it flat on the deck all winter. Just picked it up and the metal rods rotted right out and broke. Trash it goes. Going to get a cover for it. I do use some pavers that I think cost me $1 each and make it look nice. Was either that or bolt it to the deck.
