Per the reviews the actual bulb is essentially a Christmas tree bulb and not an Edison style filament. May work fine for some but they are not true Edison bulbs it seems.

You can see in the picture it's just a Christmas bulb with a bigger globe on it. Geez

Yep, if you look at the close up photo of the "bulb" it is just a small tapered Christmas style light inside the larger plastic "bulb".

While it would be easy to see the illuminated plastic itself, this would be almost worthless for actual illumination. You would be much better off just stringing up lengths of white led Christmas lights. 👍

Probably pretty low quality, but mine got knocked down last year on my patio in a wind storm and some of the bulbs shattered. I'm picking these up since they have plastic globes.

The positive reviews far outweigh the negative. Anyone who had the expectation that these would be Edison bulbs either ignored the product pictures or neglected to read the description.

"Just the right amount of light" is very relative. This might be "the right amount of light" if you are a vampire that is trying to gain a tolerance to light.

Junk. They are not bright and easy to get water leaks. Mine stopped working after a month
