This printer is awesome for the money. The maintenance turned me off after 6 months. What do I mean by maintenance? Constantly tweeking it to maintain the great prints. So many times will the prints be bad but after troubleshooting what the problem is. Goes back to great prints. Just be ready to do that. I'm at the age where I dont want to Constantly tinker with this. When I was younger I would have loved it. I used 10 rolls of same pla

Solid Deal. Just purchased this same printer on an Amazon lightning deal this past week for what I thought was a great price @ $237 pretax ($251 after tax). This clearly beats that.

Use some of the $ you save for upgraded springs and PTFE Bowden tube.

Creality Capricorn Bowden PTFE... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086YPD...b_ap_share

(I have no financial or professional relationships with Creality or Amazon...or anyone else for that matter. Just sharing info that helped me 🙂.)

I have this printer. It's good, but it's a full hobby. Lots of good videos to set up and learn. Here are some thoughts:

1. upgrade the bed springs right away. The stock ones are junk.
2. Learn to level the bed. It's critical. See #1
3. The "sticky" glass bed is kind of lame, at least for me. I use a glue stick and it works great.
4. Octoprint on a raspberry pi is a game changer. Amazing software.
5. Jyers firmware on GitHub makes this printer what it should be. If you're not comfortable compiling yourself, he has structured, compiled releases.

Solid deal. I bought mine refurb from them about 2 months ago at this price. Very happy with the purchase, good customer service if something goes wrong but be prepared for a 24 hour delay in responses from CS due to time zone differences (they're located in China)

I bit. Been teetering between the original + upgrades and v2, but for 226 I figure its better to just start with the v2 and upgrade from there. Thanks OP.

This is a really great little printer. Upgrade the bed springs immediately to save yourself a lot of frustration. One of your first prints should be a new box with vents for the power supply. Google it.

Nice deal. I bought a Max a few days ago for 289. It would be a much rougher decision today with v2 at 226.

Great printer. Spring upgrade and bowden tube upgrade is a must. For $226 it's a no-brainer. Get it you won't be disappointed.

I've only owned the v2 for 2 weeks now. Been printing something every day with it. Longest print so far is only 5hrs. First thing I got for it were upgraded springs, all metal extruder and capricorn tube. Only thing I have to do is check the bed level before each print. It seems like PETG filaments like printing on painters tape while pla and pla+ likes the bare glass bed. I'm still in the learning process with this thing. I also don't have a lot of patience so I haven't bothered with attempting to print anything that takes a long time.

Do they really include a crappy bowden tube? I mean, ptfe is not expensive material and would probably add like 10 cents to their cost to produce...

Happy Weekend folks. : )

I know I can Google this question but there's nothing quite like a few live testimonials from actual users.

My question is this: for the average middle-aged homeowner... what are some practical/helpful items this printer can be used for? Yes, I realize every person's situation/needs is likely different than the next person, but any examples (or stories) of what this is capable of - please share them if you can.

I'm looking for some great & convincing justification(s) for buying this. I have a personal finance manager (she's also my loving wife... & she also sometimes peruses slickdeals) that I must convince that the budget can be dinged for $240? because of a, b, c & maybe even d. : )

Bought one over Christmas. Bought new springs. Bought bl touch. Have yet to get a successful print. I went into it thinking I could deal with the tinkering as I build computers as a hobby. Lost patience and ordered a Prusa. I figure I'll get back to the Ender when I have more time to troubleshoot or sell it. I am just pressed for time with life right now.
