The guy above me would go into a thread about a hand saw and tell people they should buy a used chainsaw off CL instead.
But, since last few months or almost a year now, all CL have junk and trashy items and they are selling in high price. Even if you find something in decent condition they are selling them in almost new price, so it's not relevant anymore to buy used one from CL.
In fact save yourself time and effort and buy decent new one.
This bench is gonna be fine for 90-95% of lifters unless you're doing something like box squats, but again, at the weight you'd be sweating that you probably have enough lifting experience that you know this is inadequate. Or you're 400 lbs. Take your pick.

You need to spend at least $250 to get a good bench. I don't care if you aren't a serious lifter - injuries can definitely happen the way these cheap Chinese products fall apart. Find one of Bells of Steel, REP Fitness, Rogue, etc. and you definitely won't regret spending the extra to avoid that chance at an ER trip.

I'm just not a fan of cheap equipment. People buy it, get hurt. Even at lower numbers. Just because the steel construction can hold the weight doesn't mean the zinc bolts holding it all together can. The money that goes toward this bench could be saved and spent on a brand new one from Rep fitness that will absolutely hold heavy weights.
If anyone can recommend a quality folding bench from personal experience that isn't a complete rickety pile of inflated/fake-Amazon-ratings pos it would be very appreciated.
