$319 At Office Depot ASUS VivoBook 15 Laptop, 15.6" Screen, Intel Core i3, 8GB Memory, 256GB Solid ...
The CPU is a bit better in the Dell deal, but the bigger SSD and backlit keyboard at the lower price probably makes the Asus a better value.
However, I wouldn't label it as a steal given that the price clearly reflects all the compromise choices that many have highlighted (CPU is OK if thankfully not a Celeron, RAM is just OK, SSD is just OK).
Good luck!

Processors are both pretty meh, not sure if you'd tell much of a difference between them, even though the Dell i3 is nearly 100pts lower (better) on the ranking.
Recently I had to forcibly upgrade to 256gb mac because apple macbook air with 128gb refuse to upgrade multiple times. I spent many months of dealing with removing apps and reinstalling apps.
I gave up and bought M1 256gb laptop.
Bottom line: The Dell was a no for me because of the too small an SSD. The Asus was spoiled by not having the 11th-gen CPU the Dell has.

But 128 GB? Although I appreciate that it's an SSD, I long ago sprang for a 1 TB SSD for not that much. It's nice not to worry about space although newbies probably don't need to save much locally, I guess. It's hard to see what is really that important to various users.
Have it shipped? I already got shipping confirmation from my order earlier today.
Can't, not an option
