You can get an hp spectre ultra portable with better battery life 10th gen i7 4k screen 16Gb ram for $1250. This is a ripoff.
i5 = 1.6 / 1.7 Ghz (pro or non-pro) and 6MB Cache
i7 = 1.8 / 1.9 Ghz (pro or non-pro) and 8MB Cache
They are both quad-core, and hyperthreading. Note that H-Class products are different - i5-H are 6 core, and i7-H are 8 core.
At least this was the case last year. You can check out ark.intel.com
edit: Looks like the ports are reasonable, I had an X1 Nano and that was rough.
Do you know of a specific Lenovo/Thinkpad model that had a 16:10 ratio screen? I would love to get my hands on one if there is. TIA

I just got the latest version of the Dell XPS 13 9310 with the following specs:
- 11th gen i7-1185G7
- 32GB RAM
- 1TB SSD
- 4K Touchscreen
- 2 yr warranty with 2 yr battery protection
Price: $1700 + tax. I had to haggle over the phone with Dell to get that price, but it was worth it.
Even now, Lenovo Rewards are double, that you get $84 in rewards back for this X1 C9 which you can apply for future purchases for the regular consumer site. Through LifeMart, this same model is $1390 + taxes with $166 back in rewards.
For those complaining about specs / features to cost, I purchase about 10-15 laptops yearly for work and mostly X1 Yoga and some X1C/P/T/E/L or even the Tiny / Nano desktops at times based on where it's used, and overall it's been excellent. These are business grade computers, and those who are not ready to splurge on T/X1/X can go with the affordable E/L.
And yes, MSRP is way inflated and though Lenovo purchased Thinkpad series from IBM long back they have been able to manage the quality of these premium laptops well so far.

Also, I've had complaints about the USBC/TB docks. The mechanical docks we previously used were very stable. The newer USBC/TB docks are not as reliable and have required Lenovo updates.
