Make sure it actually comes with a hard drive when you get ...

Also BNC, not PoE for those who care
BNC? yuck
I second this. Also, the user interface is LaWorst. Mine likes to freeze if I try to search for old video.

Same DVR system was $190 last September and $180 around Cyber Monday.

I chose the older 5MP 8ch/8cam 1TB version instead last September (needed the extra cameras as I knew they will be expensive to add later on) and am generally pleased with it for my low budget.

I have heard that poe systems aren't always compatible with each other. Does anyone know of a poe system that will work with LaView cameras?
Thanks for any help.

Hi Starky

LaView has recently had 3 different OEMs for products, so it depends on which OEM your cameras are from.

If the cameras have an rtsp feed you might be able to use Blue Iris or another 3rd party VMS ( like Mile Stone systems ).

I have had a 4 channel poe LaView system for over a year. I haven't had any problems with it, at all. I've never used the app on my phone, tho'.
I have heard about problems, from other people. That is why I am asking about other systems that LaView cameras will work on.

I have laview poe with nvr. Their CS is slow but you will get to them. Dont bother email, go for Facebook chat. I was able to reset my camera with them recently. I'm currently using both laview and hikvision app to view my cameras. Their hardwares are good
