In case anyone isn't familiar with the difference, a "jumpstarter" will immediately deliver enough juice so your battery can power, and your alternator can provide the rest of the charge, giving you the ability to immediately start your car and get going.
A "maintainer" is used to slow charge a dead battery, or maintain a battery charge so the battery doesn't die when left unused for a long period. A "maintainer" is MUCH better for reviving a dead battery, and can even perform functions to extend the life. However, to charge a battery with a maintainer, you typically need to let it slow charge for 24-48 hours, and you need to either have a power outlet near the car so you can plug the maintainer in to provide power, or you remove the battery and bring it to a power outlet to use the maintainer.
I have both a maintainer and jumpstarter. I keep the jumpsatrter in my car, in case my car battery dies while I'm out, or I need an instant charge to get going if the battery is dead. I keep the maintainer in my house in case my battery dies, and I have the time necessary to slow charge it, or to perform a maintenance on it to add to its longevity.
$20 bucks is a pretty good price for a maintainer. I bought my NOCO GENIUS1 maintainer a year ago for $30. This one has an LCD screen, though I'm not sure if that's a useful feature.

I have 4 of them for various batteries. The Jr is nice for small batteries, like what we use them for, watercraft.
I also have a couple of the Duracell that were in clearance last year at Costco. Doing a fine job on our deep cell boat batteries.
During pandemic, i didn't run my 2nd car as often. I used it to charge my car battery, about once every 2 weeks, to keep the battery alive.
