it's usually $99.95, now it's on sale with a $15 discount. It's a nice gadget to have. This was recommended by ChrisFix on his channel. I've used it a couple of times and it does what it's meant to do, really well.

I just bought essentially the same scanner for $20.99 from Bafx Products [amazon.com] - For Android Only - Wireless Bluetooth Obd2 Scanner. Their ios/Iphone version is $26.99 [amazon.com]. These have a Fakespot Review Grade of B, as well as the OP's one, for significantly less!
I found this from a 7 year old Scion Reddit post from 2013. This is their newer version from their OBD 1st generation code reader.
"Choose from many OBDII apps such as Torque Pro, Piston, Dash Command, OBD Fusion & more; Some OBDII readers limit you in which apps you can use, not BAFX Products; Choose an app at a price that meets your needs." Some are free, others cost $5. You have a choice.

So this so called Deal of the Day with a dubious claim "The BlueDriver App and BlueDriver Sensor work exclusively with each other to ensure quality" (ENSURE QUALITY??).
Paying $58 to $64 for a QUALITY APP is NOT SLICK!

Your Bafx doesn't read or clear other codes like ABS, SRS, etc while the Bluedriver does.

Paid $30 for the Carista-branded one and it works with both Android and iPhone. Paying anything more than that is a rip off.

Can anyone else confirm that the BlueDriver can read more sensors that the lower priced generic brand ones are capable of?

Doesn't that require a subscription to access all of the features?

The dongle isn't exclusive for the app... It can be used with other apps.

The dongle comes with a free month of Carista, if I recall.

I can confirm. I used it on my Jeep Grand Cherokee and it reads more systems than my generic one did. Found a handful of codes that I cleared out related to something I previously fixed. Tried it on my dad's F150 which had a handful of codes with one being related to his battery needing to be replaced. The generic one didn't show this. Keep in mind that the generic Elm327 devices do the job most of the time, but this goes deeper. For me the premium price was worth it.

And your backing this claim up from WHERE?

Read The REVIEWS!:

Does not read srs codes
By Jennifer Higgins on July 15, 2020
It says it reads srs codes but it doesn't. I specifically ordered it to read srs codes and it doesn't.
NO ABS Codes
By Richard R. Bowen on December 19, 2020
If you want one that reads ABS codes, its not this one. At lease it does not work on Toyotas. Just a plain code reader and code eraser. You can buy code readers that do the same as this for half the price.
Can NOT read Honda Airbag (SRS) codes!!!
By Robert D on September 28, 2020
I bought this as a lightweight version of OBD scanner. My SRS light happened to come on today and I plugged this in to scan for codes. I tried multiple options of scanning and could not get it to read the code. To ensure that the data link wire was not to blame, I plugged in my other scanner and it pulled the code just fine.
Maybe this can read SRS codes on some vehicles, but I know it can NOT read SRS codes for my 2002 Accord which is disappointing. If I wanted a regular generic scanner to do basic codes, I would have just stuck with my $15 wifi dongle and the OBD Fusion app.
WILL NOT READ HONDA SRS (airbag) CODES!!!
Refer to pictures. Pin nine on the car's OBD connector for Honda is the SCS line for reading Honda SRS codes. If you look at the Blue Driver unit, it does NOT have pin 9 (look at it as if you were plugging into the car's OBD connector). This means it cannot read Honda SRS codes.
It does have pin 14 which is for ABS which I'm assuming it will read, but not worth the $100 asking price if you are a Honda owner.

Amazon reviews aren't very reliable. Some vehicles aren't compatible but I believe most are.

That Bafx scanner won't read those codes on ANY vehicles so that might be worth the extra money to some people.

You can check vehicle compatibility here:

So I am comparing obd 2 Bluetooth devices & wondering people who have either or would you say ObdLink mx+ or BlueDriver is better? Tia Ron.
