Not sure how much of Texas is covered with this rebate but center point is currently giving out $50 coupons to buy a Google Nest Thermostat. Just visit the link bellow, type in your zip and fill out the info. You get to choose either Best Buy, Lowes, or Home depot online and physical stores, all who currently have the thermostat on sale for $99.99 for earth day, possibly until the 22nd.
Now, all that is pretty easy to do, but when I was filing out the info it looks like its tied to your phone number for the electricity. I've been using my number for about a decade and got a message saying my number wasn't associated with an account. Tried my moms who's been doing it way longer, and still no luck. There's a number to call, but I called at 5:30 and they were closed. Left a message with my name and number and an hour later I was emailed a code. Not really sure if it was the phone call or not.
I've attached a photo of other thermostats that you can get a coupon for instead, 2 are missing.

I requested one last night w/ Lowes. Same story as OP, it showed error page at the end. Sent them an email with my electricity account# and provider, got coupon this morning.
However the coupon is not working for me on Lowes website... Sent them an inquiry, no reply yet.
I requested another one for HomeDepot online, using a different account (we have multiple houses in Houston area). Same error page. Sent an email. Got coupon in 10 minutes.
Put in the purchase w/ Home Depot, here's the total:
