Saw this price in store and seemed pretty good on a price/pound basis if you want Scott's - the lawn experts on the forums can comment on whether or not this is a good price vs. cheaper (less $ on marketing) brands. According to the bag, this amount @ 40LBS is sufficient for 14,000 square feet.

This special price expires April 22nd according to the website.

I stocked up - based on my research, fertilizer seems to be fine if stored in a dry cool place for a long time.

No skin in the game, but I will say it takes pretty specific timing. The weeds have to have at least some moisture on them for the granules to adhere to. And you have to make sure it doesn't rain within a specific period or it washes the granules away before they are effective on the broadleaf weeds
Scott's has an app called "My Lawn" which checks your GPS location and checks the rainfall for your area among other things and sends you notifications of the perfect time to apply. I put down a bag of this stuff last weekend, hoping it works better after using the app.

It's seems like this is very similar to the 43 lb bag at Lowe's and Home Depot that's $58, yes?

Dam, I bought this some weeks ago for $50. My lawn was suffering. Oh well, good deal for others.

I wouldnt say that. If it works it should keep weeds from establishing. Ive heard good things about bioadvanced. Thats what we will be trying this year

Used this product twice last year. Didn't get rid of all the weeds (still had to spot treat) but did a great job otherwise.

Shouldn't this be called "weed feed", because weeds seem to be growing great with this stuff

You want the weeds growing as much as possible to absorb the herbicide. Ideally you apply the fertilizer first and wait until everything is growing like crazy to apply the herbicide...

Water your yard or at least hit is with a hose, then apply. Works for me most of the time. If that doesn't work spray it with a broad leaf concentrate.
