i9 9900 is almost same as 10700 .... GPU is debatable .... i also added the timespy score for reference

Also its upgradable within the same gen ... like you can upgrade your cpu from i7 to i9 down the line ... its socketed ... same goes for ram... memory and gpu ... nothing is soldered on this machine...

Also, I guess People tend to exaggerate previous deals, like "You can buy MSI GE75 with GeForce RTX 2070 Super for 1200", while actually it was on sale from Costco for $1,500 (with 32GB ram and a worse CPU). I bought that one and returned it later because MSI was nowhere near the Alienware level build quality.

This area-51m R2 is more powerful than ANY SINGLE laptop deals that I have ever seen up to today within the $1600 range. The only drawback is the weight and size.

This thing prob sucks the battery life right out doesn't it when using unplugged? Even with a 90whr?

Have a macbook for my other needs ... I was looking at this for solely gaming Smilie I just keep lfying between east and west coast every 2 months and needed something powerful and somewhat portable and this fits the bill
