I believe you have to have an iPhone for the apple watch to work. You have to pair the watch with your iPhone and download the watch app to set it up and get the updates. There is no apple watch app for android. Unlike android watches which work on iPhone, Apple watches do not work on android. If I am wrong someone please correct me, I do not want to spread an misinformation.

Was able to price match Best Buy - had gift cards. It had to be the exact model but I'll just get a different band via Amazon. Happy to get this for 115 after my gift cards!
