Don't forget the Super Deluxe version doesn't have the 2nd season pass. For that you need the Ultimate edition which is not on sale. This is confusing.

Tempted, but would rather have it digitally. Perhaps it will be released on Game Pass eventually? Hmmm, it does include a digital copy for next gen consoles.

That's only the "digital upgrade" ie: there's a patch for next gen consoles to allow for higher framerate and possibly HDR. You still need the disc to be in the drive for it to work.

Have they fixed the overheating issue for the one x on this game? I don't plan on bricking my console just to get my shoot and loot fix.

first I've heard of that, my xb1x only did it once or twice because I had it in the TV cabinet. I played it 8hrs or more at a time. Now I just leave the cabinet door open and hasn't happened since.

I love this game but have moved onto Cyberpunk 2077. There was a huge BL3 update recently but I haven't been back to try it.

You can still upgrade the disc version to PS5, you would just need to have the disc in the drive. More on Reddit <https://www.reddit.com/r/borderlands3/comments/k5xfnt/how_does_the_ps5_upgrade_work_do_i_just_put_the/>

If you start playing the PS4 version before trying the PS5 version, just know that in order to convert your save, you have to go through a couple steps: first login to your PS4 version and use the upload save function. Next, login to your PS5 version and use the download save function. (In other words, don't uninstall the PS4 version until you've retrieved your previous save.)

Unfortunately, they did a big diservice to those who bought the game on release with how they handled this second season pass. The 2nd Season Pass really wasn't originally planned (or only roughly planned).

For those wondering, there haven't been ANY discounts on either SP for this game on either XB or PS. They just released the back half of the Seaosn 2 Pass (Director's Cut) in the last few weeks.

Basically, they created a version on top of all others to account for SEASON PASS 2 -- hence the Ultimate.
