It doesn't matter. One outlet will handle the 15A limit. The second is there just for convenience. It doesn't actually allow any more current to be used.

One inlet has no impact on this. Same current, same set of wire, same circuit.

Only significant downside is lack of center screw. Depending how heavy connected cords are and how they pull, I can see the unit working itself loose and exposing the prongs.

Lesser known fact, this is why outlets are installed "upside down." So only the ground is exposed from something touching on top of exposed.

Single inlet for all 6 outlets
Not a real electrician, just enough to be dangerous, even it was two, both of those would go to the same breaker in just about all wirings. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Even the two outlet regular wall mounts are connected to same breaker and there might be multiple of those 2 outlet ones that are connected to same breaker as well.

Why would it be any more of a problem than any other power strip/surge protector?

It does not matter that much. Single outlet with a 1500w toaster plugin in is much more dangerous than 15 phone charger plugin with outlets. Only total wattage matters!

1500 watt toaster is 12.5 amps, so not really any danger.

I have these all over the house and I like them for their cost.
There is also a slightly more expensive model that includes 2 or 4 usb ports if that is your thing.

The only things that I don't like about these are that the back is rounded, so you can't push too hard on the left or right side sockets without it rolling a bit. Have to hold on to the casing when plugging and unplugging.
The other thing is that the bottom socket has a plastic stabilizer. Some of my outlets are switch controlled on the top but not the bottom. To use them there I had to cut off the stabilizer.
