There's no use case for these. Someone didn't read the USB spec and made junk. USB A is a host port, and you can't have a host on both ends. The only review that doesn't look totally fake says they used it by buying female-female adapters. You could probably do the same with a USB A-to-C adapter.

My automatic cat feeder actually uses USB A to A cable, but it's only for power.

i use need one with my mac pro for suggested workaround with Allegro USB 3.0 4-port PCI-e; Unfortunately USB 3 is known to cause radio frequency interference [intel.com] on 2.4 GHz wireless devices, à la logi MX Master 3 (mouse, also transmitting 2.4GHz).

Sonnett suggests [sonnettech.com] installing USB bluetooth dongle to replace the desktop's internal (native, 2.0) bluetooth, via a USB extension cable [obviously don't drape the USB extension over the desktop, towards the mouse] . Without it my mouse is garbage, i.e. frequent skips, jumps, dropouts. So there

The Atgames Gamer Legend uses one if you want to connect the control deck straight to the puck or to use on a PC. The one it comes with is very thin so I'm considering it.

Seems to be a lot of confusion about what these would be used for. Lots of USB hubs use USB-A ports for their connection to the computer, and lots of USB SATA drive enclosures (2.5" at least, not sure about 3.5" drives) use these cables as well.

While not the most ideal thing in the world, plenty of devices do exist that use these cables.

Any non-host device with a removable cable should be using a USB-B or USB-C port (or mini-B or micro-B). The spec isn't complicated.

If people don't want to follow the spec, that's their kludge to deal with.

I use a wyze cam with the web cam firmware to see the top and back of my head when doing my own hair. My current usb cable is too heavy and stiff at the connections so it drags the camera without thorough set up. At $6 it's worth a shot to see if this does better. Thanks op
