Dell XPS probably has the worst number model of all laptops.

Not a bad deal, enticing... just wish it was 4K display like the other DELL deal... but this one is the newer model with the 11th gen and the new Iris GFX..... I think it would depend on my purpose for the PC right? Gaming... go with this... but 4K display for editing, videos... go with the other? Anyone try getting the 10% off code by signing up for the newsletter? That might save more than the $50 off...

Be sure to see if a customer service person has a coupon to offer.

I got this model, except with 1tb SSD for $990 (pre tax) after a 110$ were taken off with a rep's coupon (I don't have it they never give it to you, just apply it to the cart they make for you). The only catch was that it was refurb. Looks completely perfect to me.

And the accidental warranty for 4 years is $500+ but was on sale for 350$ (not taxed). That might not last either.

Keyboard is better than the 10th gen model.

You don't need a 4K display on a laptop this small unless you want only a few hours of real world use battery life.

agreed.... plus 4k on a 13" screen requires this accessory that dell does not sell...

4k is a bit overkill on a screen this small. if gaming is of ANY priority, i highly recommend neither. this is a premium everyday laptop that focuses on build quality and portability.

Do you have any recommendations for a good laptop around $1000, preferably under, that is light weight and good for video editing? My preferences are i7, 16gb ram, and under 3lbs.

It's just Intel's AX200 with a different software package. Intel bought Rivet Networks (Killer) a while back. The card itself is great, since again it's just the AX200, can't really comment on the software since I haven't used it in a product that I've owned since 2015.

why should i get this?
Great 400+ nits color accurate display, 11th gen with Iris Xe, LPDDR4x, free touch, build quality, less than 3lbs, good battery life, etc. It's not a gaming system, but if you want a good performing portable laptop with a great display, this is a pretty decent deal.
