Check the serial number for manufacturing date before purchase. It will stop working 10 years from that date. The date code is in the middle of the serial number after the letters. The first 2 digit is the week of the year followed by the 2 digit year code.

Are you serious?

What if you want to know if there's a fire in your house while you're away?
What if you're deaf?
What if you want all smoke detectors to go off of one goes off?

I could go on...

Why do you want a smart smoke detector?

Seems like it would rarely be useful

No more at the Anaheim Hills location in case anyone was looking. Just got there since BS showed limited stock but looks like someone got the last one right before I got here.

WTF? This is interesting! What is it that makes they stop working a certain time after manufacture?

BrickSeek and Target sites show the $119.99 high price, not any deals. Meanwhile they are the normal "sale" price of $99.99 on Google Store and Best Buy.
