I have this and used it for a 3500-mile road trip.

Works very well, and I think great value at this price (I paid $270 incl tax)

For those who have a Costco membership and are considering this item, I highly recommend the Massimo e-coolers that they sell. I've had the 42 quart version for two years now and I use it frequently on camping trips without any issues. For the first year I used it as a spare fridge, running it pretty much non-stop.

Does it put out a lot of heat? Say if I have an SUV, would it heat up the cabin?

I do t have this brand but I have one of a different brand. It doesn't give off any noticeable heat. I drove from NJ to south FLA and had it running for 22 hours straight with no issue at all.

Costco has the Massimo versions. 32qt($250), 42qt($260), and 52($270)qt on sale. From what I've read, there's a chance they have Bluetooth and work with the alpicool app. I've also read heat output is not noticeable within your vehicle.

Got the 52qt from Costco and was lucky enough to receive the BT version. I paired it up with a power station to keep it running when the engine is not on. I can barely hear it running and doesn't heat up the car.

Can you elaborate more on what you used for a power station?

I got this little thing https://smile.amazon.com/gp/produ...UTF8&psc=1
Combined with a Paxcess 120w solar panel, I never have to use electricity to charge it.

Why not just use a cooler with ice
Temperature regulation, no need for consumables, no water leak chance, no wet food, etc. Want me to keep going?

Another Costco Massimo user here. Works really well and the auto shutoff features to not kill your car battery is real nice. Massimo uses the "CAR FRIDGE FREEZER" app on Android and iOS. It's nice if you are preparing to leave for the store and want to turn on the cooler before leaving the house. I'll try not to derail this deal any further. Good luck if you buy this or the Massimo brand!

Why didn't you just get a cheap mini fridge for a spare fridge? I can't imagine these are at efficient for use indoors.

Sometimes you don't want everything wet and apparently this can get down below freezing... It's interesting and apparently rather efficient

Try one and you will not come back to an ice cooler.
