Another one of the best deals I've come across in a while...

Includes:

-M18 GEN-2 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless 4000 Lumens ROVER LED AC/DC Flood Light (Model #: 2366-20)

-M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion High Output Battery Pack 12.0 Ah and Rapid Charger Kit (Model #: 48-59-1200)

Unfortunately price doesn't include shipping but still a fantastic deal nonetheless.

Light was $139 with a free 5 from acme for a bit in February. Also $149 elsewhere with a free 5 for a while longer. Disagree on getting a 12.0 for $100. That's not a common find. 8.0s go for $100 pretty easily, 12s more commonly go for $120+. I just listed an 8.0 today for $100 and got 5 offers at asking within 3 hours. With this deal you have to factor in the rapid charger value as well. That's worth $40. This light deal is clearly inferior to the impact wrench iteration though.

Really no deal here. The battery is usually able to be bought on eBay for $100 and the light retails on Acme right now for $139. Still gotta pay for tax and shipping which further kills this deal. Too bad this isn't one of the tripod lights.

It wouldn't say it's inferior, more what would one use more (if you had to choose). Out of all their impact wrenches, I'd skip that compact one. Either get it in M12 or get a M18 mid-torque. $20 more and adds a lot more tasks that can me done with it. I know it isn't part of the deal, so if I got the compact deal, I'd sell the impact as well and upgrade.

Should be able to sign up for texts from CPO to get a 10% off if you want the light + 5ah for $135, but the better buy is with the 12 for sure.

I have the gen1 rover. Love it. Imo much better than any other light. It's the brightest out there for the money. Just doesn't have any sort of legs so if you need it 4-5 feet in the air you're out of luck. I've lit up entire rooms with it for painting. I think the gen 1 was 3500max lumens. This is 4000.

Great deal for someone.

I'm talking specifically in monetary terms for the deal analysis. I value the light at $100 given current deals at International Tool and CPO with light + 5.0 for $150. The impact wrench is Gen 3 and can be had for $154 with Buy More Save More, so that's its current relative value.

Constituent parts:
1) Light ($100) + 12 and rapid ($150)
2) Impact wrench ($154) + 12 and rapid ($96)

There are better impact wrench options from Milwaukee. Both options are good deals, but impact wrench is best deal.

Does anyone know how good this gen2 light is?

I've passed up a deal on the gen1 last year for $85.... so don't know if this is something I should hop on this time.

12ah battery and super charger is something that is attractive though...

It comes with a rapid charger, not super (those are $150 alone, retail). Gen1 was 3,000 lumens, this is 4000. They change the design so that the light doesn't rotate 180deg, rather you have to rotate the whole unit , not really negative, just different.

I agree the impact is worth more in retail terms, but for what Ive been able to grab new on the 2ndary market, there is little demand for them. They should have priced it along the M12 versions, like they did with the m12/m18 surge that are rated the same.

Actually it looks like that deal is still going on @ Acme. I just clicked on the link in that SD and it's still working: https://slickdeals.net/f/14817151-milwaukee-m18-rover-led-light-4000-lumen-2366-20-w-free-5ah-battery-139?v=1

You basically get a free 5.0Ah battery in the deal. It's from Acme so when you'd actually get the light and battery is up for conversation, but if you're really interested in this floodlight, this would be a great deal to jump on.

I agree charger is a plus from some. Most of SDers who regularly get Milwaukee tool deals have a chester drawer full of them now (I think I now have 4?) so the benefit of the charger is debatable. Still, it does allow you to flip the battery easier if you throw in a M12/M18 charger...
