Also, not in anyway a hack, you're just returning something for a clearly stated prorated value on a receipt.
If I were using this combo w/ free item to get into the M12 line, I would just go with the 6ah battery, since they're all bundled as 1 line item.
And there's nothing wrong with the combo tools, just the free items. I have the non-fuel versions of the drill and driver and they're another story. Both have excellent power to weight ratios. The drill can run a 1 1/2" paddle bit through 4x4 no problem. The 1.5ah battery only has the endurance to do that twice per charge, but the tool easily shrugs off what I'd consider an unreasonable job for its size. The fuel version should do it even better and I wouldn't hesitate to grab the combo for the main tools if I needed a compact drill and driver.

For installation, pull the trigger to quickly snug the fastener up, then push/pull on the ratchet for final tightening - or switch to a torque wrench.

But I have m12 stubby which I like with a 4ma and smaller battery and charger. Want a drill to replace my porter cable got in 3 tool deal with Sawzall and impact driver (and flashlight) 3 years ago for $80. Idk if need another impact driver. So skip this deal? Can I get a better deal on just m12 drill or combo with something I'd use like a circular saw?
