Usually I think the Mil deals are over priced compared to other options. Not this time. That recip saw may make more sense for a homeowner then the cordless ratchet.

Am I missing something? This deal has been available for the last 3 months continuously at Home Depot. It's a Q1 promo. Posted in February, in March, and again on April 2nd to slick deals. None of those deals expired. I guess this is a reminder post or post for those who never saw it.

Not in the app, just the kit available for this price... not sure about on the webpage. In store may or may not have the deal, they don't match online combos at my local stores.

Also, not in anyway a hack, you're just returning something for a clearly stated prorated value on a receipt.

Ratchet isn't fuel/brushless in case anyone is wondering. Still, with the hack it's about $109 for the ratchet.

I have both this ratchet and the hackzall that's also available with the combo. Both are extremely weak bordering on useless, especially the ratchet for its size. I just can't get excited over a ratchet that can't get nuts more than finger tight. The hackzall has a tiny stroke making it painfully slow to cut even a 2x4.

If I were using this combo w/ free item to get into the M12 line, I would just go with the 6ah battery, since they're all bundled as 1 line item.

And there's nothing wrong with the combo tools, just the free items. I have the non-fuel versions of the drill and driver and they're another story. Both have excellent power to weight ratios. The drill can run a 1 1/2" paddle bit through 4x4 no problem. The 1.5ah battery only has the endurance to do that twice per charge, but the tool easily shrugs off what I'd consider an unreasonable job for its size. The fuel version should do it even better and I wouldn't hesitate to grab the combo for the main tools if I needed a compact drill and driver.

The ratchet is intended to be used with arm power (like a regular non-powered ratchet) to break the fastener free, then pull the trigger to zip it off the rest of the way.

For installation, pull the trigger to quickly snug the fastener up, then push/pull on the ratchet for final tightening - or switch to a torque wrench.

This. It isn't intended to be a break bar.

Totally agree but problem I've had with my week pneumatic one is bolts always have corroded threads and tool still cant remove nut after break loose. So when I buy a new ratchet will want to get most powerful one available. I've never used this one so idk what power it has. I think its rated at 35ftlb but would not be surprised if has more power than my campbell hausfeld tl0501 which i think rated at 50ftlb. Again idk never used....

But I have m12 stubby which I like with a 4ma and smaller battery and charger. Want a drill to replace my porter cable got in 3 tool deal with Sawzall and impact driver (and flashlight) 3 years ago for $80. Idk if need another impact driver. So skip this deal? Can I get a better deal on just m12 drill or combo with something I'd use like a circular saw?
