Usually considered top tiered gasoline. Never had a problem and its usually the cheapest in an area. I sometimes fill in my gas tank with their premium gas once in a while.
Premium or aka 91 octane are for high compression vehicles and it has nothing to do with having more detergent in cleaning your engine. The truth is, it is harder to burn a premium or high octane gas because they are design that they won't do premature detonation. If your car doesn't require this and did not mention it in your gas cap or manual, don't use it or you're just burning your money.

Note, some cars with both port and direct injection are usually high compression vehicles that are able to use non-premium and premium... and yes, there is power difference because the car computer (ECU/ECM) will advance timings. Some force induction vehicles has similar effect too. Though there's power difference, high octane doesn't have to have more detergent aka Techron or Vpower or whatever marketing gimmick they call them.

In for 3. Will send in proof of shipping/receipt for $12 rebate attempt which would bring the final price to $14 for three, or about the same as the 10oz. regular price.
The rebate seems to state "Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner" and not this one. But i ordered 3 and submitted the rebate, hoping for the best. Smilie

I don't know how well it works because I also got my engine walnut blasted last November and it was pretty bad. The car is 12 years old and had a mix of Speedway and Shell gas, depending on if I filled up close to home or close to work.
How much did it cost to do car engine walnut blasting? Thanks.

There's also the 32oz size for $16.99 - 25% coupon which comes out ever so slightly cheaper per oz (less than a penny):

Once when driving home from a trip the CEL came on in our 2012 Toyota Highlander. Took it to a friend who had a meter for codes. Told me to put this into the gas next time I filled up. Light NEVER came on again. I ALWAYS use this after every oil change!!!

I use it as the seasons change because I was told the fuel at the pump changes from time to time.

I used to use Speedway gas because it was close to my house; the Shell was a bit further. But I recently started running in to some jitters/shaking on startup for the past few months and I continued to use Speedway gas.

Switched to Shell for the most recent fill up and also used Techron prior to filling up and it's mostly gone away. I'm taking it in to a mechanic but it's odd that it stopped after driving about 10 miles on Shell gas and the Techron.

At a few bucks a pop and 2-4 times a year, it doesn't hurt. I only started using Techron a few times a year since 2018 so maybe not too long of a sample size. Better quality gas probably goes a long way than Techron, I feel.
Check and change your air filter. Your engine will thank you and you can run cheap gas without problem.

I agree with what you have said. You can check for the type of octane required in the car manual or by the gas cap. If it says ONLY use premium then use premium otherwise your car performance will be affected and you can get deposits. If it says RECOMMENDED, then use higher octane gas once in a while or add octane boost once in a while in your regular unleaded. Remember, I said performance not mileage will be affected. The myth is that people think using a higher octane will give better gas mileage, but that is not true. Just use the type of gas that is recommended for that vehicle.

You might have been told this by the same brilliant minds who swore by adding acetone during both the introduction of ethanol and again during the 2008 gas hike.

It's fairly common knowledge that there's no such thing as "better quality gas", as all of these tankers are filled at the same distribution stations and already have some detergents in them in order to keep the tankers clean. Chevron doesn't have a refinery in every region, so if you don't live fairly close to one, you may not be getting Chevron gas at all. The gas stations don't have a special reservoir to add Techron as needed, so where is this special additive getting mixed in? Nowhere, it's all marketing.

Consider that no car manufacturer has ever endorsed any additive in existence. If any of it actually made a difference, they'd have a designated fill spot for it.

The likely reason for your jittering is the use of all that extra detergent has freed up some sludge and maybe deteriorated some lines along with it. All that over cleaning is creating blockages and probably fouled your injectors, PCV, and oil.

I hope some of this helps, but considering you fell for the walnut blasting, you might be drinking the snake oil at this point.

Pretty much snake oil. This is not the 1970s. Fuels do not need this stuff anymore, but as long as people buy it, companies will market and sell it. This may have had some positive effects on cars sitting around with junk fuel for months or years, but replacing the old fuel with fresh fuel is far more effective. If your fuel lines and valves are gummed up from lack of use, there might be some positive results, although results are dismal and generally antidotal. If you drive your car regularly and use mainstream fresh fuel, this has no value at all. And yes, for BMWs and other vanity cars, there is nothing special about your car which requires this product.

No need to do that. Premium gasoline does not have more nor better detergents than regular gasoline.
