I have a pair and I've compared it to my friend's xm4s. Anc and comfort are worse for surface. I couldn't really tell differences in sound quality using 24bit/192khz flacs wired. Surface has much better volume controls. I'd say if you have a smaller head these are pretty good since my only issue is that the clamping pressure is too much on head.

ANC headphones primary purposes is noise canceling. I think Bose QC35 is best for long flights due to clamping force... And anc quality... But not sure why you want to collect different versions.
If you want home use headphone with great quality.. There are others..

Ehhhh I have the QC35 II & honestly I'm not that impressed with audio quality. Battery life & noise cancellation is amazing though. Idk about this particular headphone.
