Looks like it was $138 some years back. Tempted for my single 3rd stall, but i hate all these openers that need the separate extension for 8' doors tho.

These are meant for 7' doors out of the box. To use on an 8' door there is a kit you buy that includes a 1' extension bar along with a new belt. Kits runs $50

Its free for status/open/close. Also, for any ios users out there, the myq app kinda blows but i found this on reddit and it works great. https://www.reddit.com/r/shortcuts/comments/a4zjc1/shortcut_to_open_and_close_myq_chamberlain_garage/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf I used to have hassio installed JUST for their myq integration. Its crazy that these implementations of their apis work better than myq's actual apps.

Looks like amazon matched the price. Extension kit is $7 less as well for 8'. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0758L6...W98GRV5S01

Took me about a full day without proper tools. Assembly was easy but depending on your garage situation mounting the opener and rail might cause some issues. I would highly recommend that you look up some videos on youtube beforehand, it helped me a lot.

I don't know anything about replacing garage openers (we'll be paying the extra for the install), so this might be a dumb question, but we'd be replacing a genie 2028 belt/chain drive opener. If we have 8' doors, I'm assuming we still would need the extension even though we're replacing an existing opener? Any other parts we would need to also get?

Yeah you'll need the appropriate extension kit for this. https://www.amazon.com/Chamberlai...CKX5A638CF
