Merkury devises are very unsafe they require a non password protected network to connect. About 2 years ago I tried there light bulbs, rgb bulbs and switches. Unless they updated there models and software dont buy these. Tplink Kasa is easier, just better

I have several Merkury bulbs and switches, all of which connect to my password protected network with no problems.

Also, these are likely not convertible to tasmota.

Whats tasmota?
It's a firmware for ESP based devices. People look for Tuya based devices in hopes of flashing them with Tasmota to gain local, cloud free access.
