Adding insult to injury, I contacted Reolink support about this, and after a single response, they just started ignoring me.
This is a lready a known issue, moreover. You can find a Reddit thread discussing this vulnerability dating back three months.
Again, I seriously advise anyone who wants an IP camera to purchase from anyone other than Reolink.
Or just get a dedicated Reolink NVR.
EDIT: You could also opt to not use an NVR or NVR software and just use the built-in SD card storage plus the Reolink App

Me too, only 15%
Yes it is. The devices are iffy of you switch routers once in a while (like me). But if the use case is review of footage on mobile, these are good.

Yes. The Reolink app is the best app I've seen so far for IP cameras like this. It's definitely not "great", but most of these apps are beyond awful.
You can easily see motions event clips on the app and download them to your phone if needed.

Subscribe and save. On a camera.. I know. But it saved me moneys!
I'm in the same boat. I'm testing an 8mp amcrest with a wider FOV. But the app is so buggy and such a horrible UI I don't think I can stick with it. And it was almost double the cost of the Reolink
