I see it as carrier locked but can we buy and not use any of the cellular features and not be bound to any contract?

I posted this earlier but bestbuy took the item off but now its back.
I was looking for a new Apple watch and this came up. I have the 42mm so this wont work since I prefer the bigger screen. For some reason it only this exact model and only at Best Buy but I'm sure you could price match with another store if they run out of ones to ship and becomes in store only. Was $499.99 now it is $170 which makes it 66% off. You also get 6 months free of Apple Fitness+. You also don't have to activate the cell plan if you don't want to but the cell part I believe is locked to AT&T.

Yes. You can use it without cellular and just as a gps style watch
